Arrests in Lake Area Larcenies

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office – Wednesday, September 07, 2016 – 9:30 a.m. has the following information to be released to the public.

During the first two weeks of August, numerous Breaking & Entering and larcenies occurred in the Bracey Area. Investigations by the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division, Brunswick County, VA Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division, and Warren County, North Carolina Sheriff Johnnie Williams and their Investigative Division, resulted in the arrests of the following individuals.

Gemarious Hardy, black male, age 18, resident of 104 Rudd Trail, Hollister, NC was arrested on charges of Burglary, Grand Larceny and Larceny with intent to sell. Hardy is incarcerated at Meherrin River Regional Jail under no bond. Court date set for 9/22/16 at the Mecklenburg County General District Court.

Donte Robinson, black male, age 18, resident of 218 Cooks Chapel Road, Warrenton, NC was arrested on charges of Burglary, Grand Larceny and Larceny with intent to sell. Robinson is incarcerated at Warren County Detention Center awaiting extradition, under no bond. No court date set at this time

Clarence Thompson, black male, age 18, resident of 185 Occoneechee Trail, Hollister, NC was arrested on charges of Burglary, Grand Larceny and Larceny with intent to sell. Thompson is incarcerated at Warren County Detention Center awaiting extradition, under no bond. No court date set at this time.

Hardy, Robinson, and Thompson are facing additional charges in Warren County, North Carolina. More arrests and charges in Mecklenburg County, VA are expected in these cases.

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warrenton, North Carolina and the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia for their assistance. The combined efforts from the law enforcement agencies involved resulted in the capturing and arrests of these subjects.
