Weighing in on new laws to protect catfish

North Carolina Wildlife is taking threats to the Lake Gaston fishery very seriously and is proposing changes that will affect area blue catfish populations. N.C. Wildlife Office Dustin Durham said that the commission is proposing a new rule that will limit the number of catfish over 32 inches long that one can have in their daily creel limit, specifically in Kerr, Lake Gaston and Roanoke Rapids lakes, and a select few other estuaries in the state.
